Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Pur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Morgernstern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgernstern has chosen Gasellit - Kiittämätön nilkki as his entrance music. Kip Pur has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kip Pur !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Morgernstern!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pur misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pur walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Morgernstern shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pur manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Morgernstern can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Morgernstern stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pur swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pur is trying to control the position but Morgernstern postures up.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Pur goes for an armbar but Morgernstern turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Morgernstern.

Morgernstern got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pur has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Morgernstern has managed to get both his arms back between Pur 's legs - danger averted.

Morgernstern tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pur paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Pur postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morgernstern is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pur , into his guard.

Morgernstern looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pur with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Morgernstern has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
