Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Markov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glin Burman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Maxim Markov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Glin Burman!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Burman misses.
Markov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burman defends it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Markov.
Markov shoots in but Burman avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maxim Markov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Markov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burman sprawls well. Burman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Markov gets slowly back to his feet.
Burman misses with a right hand

and Markov counters with a shoot takedown. Burman fights it but they end up in guard.

Markov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Markov trying to control the position from guard on top but Burman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Markov drops back looking for a leg! Burman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burman manages to kick Markov off! Markov jumps back into Burman's guard.
Markov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Burman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Markov is controlling him.

Markov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Markov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Burman is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Markov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Burman has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Burman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That kick from Markov tenderised Burman's leg. Burman is trying to keep his angry face on.
Markov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Burman looks to land a combination but Markov avoids it well.
Markov throws a nice outside leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Markov.
Burman throws a push kick but Markov slaps the foot to one side.
Burman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Markov.
Maxim Markov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Burman.
Markov shoots in but no luck this time.

Markov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Burman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Markov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Markov drops back looking for a leg! Burman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burman manages to kick Markov off! Markov jumps back into Burman's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burman has his feet on Markov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Burman misses with a double jab.
Glin Burman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Markov shoots for a takedown but Burman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Burman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Markov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burman quickly recovers to half guard.

Markov seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Burman is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
