Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Kochergin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Hard! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hard shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kochergin defends it nicely. Kochergin tries a head kick but it misses.
Kochergin lands a lovely overhand right. Nice takedown defense from Kochergin. No joy for Hard on that attempt. Kochergin tries to bum rush Hard with a series of wild strikes but Hard uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kochergin gets caught napping as Hard dives in and scores a takedown. Kochergin manages to retain guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kochergin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hard throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wooooo! Hard works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kochergin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hard trying to pass the guard but Kochergin defending well. Hard wants to pass to mount but Kochergin is defending the position. Hard thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kochergin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hard's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kochergin is not going to allow Hard to sit and survive in this position. Hard tries to escape the position.

Hard stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Kochergin has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Hard manages to get his head free but now Kochergin has transitioned to an armbar! Hard grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kochergin! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
