The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jorge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cirus was well out of range. Poor timing from Jorge.
Jorge tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Cirus counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cirus landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Cirus lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Jorge! More strikes land and this one is all over! Cirus jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
