Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Hemingway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernest Hemingway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adrian Hernandez!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez misses with a looping left.
Hernandez scores with a decent looking hook.
Hernandez slaps away a takedown attempt from Hemingway, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hemingway fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hernandez sprawls well initially but Hemingway persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hemingway thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hemingway is working for a kimura but Hernandez is defending it quite comfortably.
Hernandez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hemingway is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hernandez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hemingway stops Hernandez from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hemingway is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hernandez is just riding it out for now. Hemingway eventually gives up the hold.

Hemingway is looking for a kimura here.
Hernandez moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hernandez looking for subs off his back but Hemingway has passed one foot through into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hemingway wants to free his trapped foot but Hernandez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hemingway passes into side control, despite Hernandez's attempt to control the position.

Hemingway goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hernandez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hemingway but great work by Hernandez.

Hernandez stands up and beckons Hemingway to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Hernandez misses the target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hernandez misses with a straight left.
Hemingway shoots in for a double leg but Hernandez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hernandez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hemingway tries to free his leg and advance position but Hernandez is retaining full guard.
Hernandez trying to keep a closed guard but Hemingway is proving a slippery customer.
Hernandez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hernandez pulls Hemingway in close to his closed guard and prevents Hemingway from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hemingway wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving.

Adrian Hernandez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Hernandez throws the left hand but Hemingway avoids the punch easily.

Hemingway decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hernandez controlling the position well.

Hemingway is looking for a kimura but Hernandez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hemingway to get the leverage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hernandez wants to improve his position but Hemingway is controlling well.
Hernandez is staying active underneath Hemingway, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernest Hemingway will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Hemingway feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hemingway pushes down on Hernandez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Hernandez gets full guard.
Hernandez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Hernandez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hemingway manages to get himself to full guard.

Hernandez content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Hemingway has locked up a guillotine! Hemingway's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hernandez is holding on here and Hemingway must be using up a lot of energy. Hernandez has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Hemingway gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ernest Hemingway!
