Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. icky thump kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andre Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Greene! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andre Jones! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a head kick but Greene moves out of range.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Greene throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greene off to one side. Greene shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Greene shows good takedown defense. Danny Greene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Jones. Greene throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greene off to one side. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Greene, before circling back to the center of the mat. Greene feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Greene would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Greene stops Jones from standing up. Greene has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Greene is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Greene wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Danny Greene has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Greene checks a leg kick. Greene misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Greene pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Greene gets caught napping as Jones dives in and scores a takedown. Greene manages to retain guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Greene is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Greene will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jones postures up in Greene's guard and throws a big left but Greene blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Greene has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Greene is breathing heavily. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Greene is retaining full guard. Jones is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Greene's guard. Jones is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Greene is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Greene has escaped and now he's on top! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Greene wants to stand but Jones has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greene gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jones misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jones looking to control but instead Greene has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Jones missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jones passes to full mount! Greene keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones controlling his opponent. Jones wants to control the pace but Greene is squirming around nicely. Greene is bucking up trying to escape but Jones cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Greene is desperately trying to improve his position but Jones has a good base and remains in mount. Greene is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jones dominating with strikes here. Jones looking to control but Greene is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The referee warns Greene that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jones landing punches. Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Greene is on top in guard.
Greene sitting in guard, not really doing much. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Greene keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Greene is keeping the position for now. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones passes Greene's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jones is pressing down on Greene's thigh, looking to free his foot. Greene is holding on for now. Greene is looking for a sweep. Jones is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jones passes into side control, despite Greene's attempt to control the position.
Greene is not content to let Jones control the position. Greene wants to control but Jones postures up. Jones working the ground and pound from side control. You can see the frustration on Greene's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Greene stops Jones from passing to mount. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Greene is looking to reverse the position. Jones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Jones working the ground and pound. Greene stops Jones from passing to mount. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones tries to clinch but Greene moves out of range.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Greene misses with a few strikes there.
Jones looks to land a body kick but Greene moved away. Greene dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Greene is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Greene circles away and we're back to standing. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Greene pinned against the ropes. Greene gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Greene attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Jones lands with an uppercut that bounces Greene off the ropes and back into range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Greene. Greene doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones leaves Greene with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Greene tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Jones dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Greene throws a half hearted mid kick. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Greene paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing. Greene tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jones tries to land a front kick but Greene steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Greene sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Greene will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Andre Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Greene paws at him with a jab and circles away. Greene moves into the clinch successfully.
Greene tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Greene. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones is edging up against the ropes. He's using the ropes to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Jones is trying to trip Greene. He has hold of a leg but Greene is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jones persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Jones trying to control but Greene is working from the bottom. Greene throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Greene is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Greene circles away and we're back to standing. This has been an exciting period of action! Greene moves into the clinch successfully.

Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Greene looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jones is in close to Greene's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jones wants to pass the guard but Greene is keeping the position. Jones trying to control but Greene is working from the bottom. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Greene is retaining full guard. Jones with a nice head shot there. Greene is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Greene manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Greene in his guard.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Greene wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Jones manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Greene tries to hold on but Jones postures up. The referee warns Greene that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jones cracks Greene with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Greene can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Jones controlling the pace for now. Greene taking shots to the head. Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jones working Greene over with strikes here. Jones looking to control but Greene is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jones has control of Greene's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Greene regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time. Andre Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jones pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Greene is trying to escape the mount.

Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Greene is looking to escape. Greene can't escape the position.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Greene is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Jones controlling from the full mount. Greene is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Jones with the ground and pound from mount. Greene is in all sorts of trouble here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Andre Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
