Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abel Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Who (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Who has chosen Requiem for a tower as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero misses with an uppercut.
Zero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Who looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Who missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Zero slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Who drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zero manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Who has Zero in his guard.
Who is looking for a triangle but Zero pushes his legs off easily.
Who is pulling down on Zero's head to control his posture.

Zero has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Who is proving hard to escape from.
Zero preventing the sweep.

Who has his foot on Zero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zero works his way back into a safe position though.
Who has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Zero has passed into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Who working for submissions but it's allowed Zero to get to half guard.
Who is still in real trouble! Can Zero finish him?
Zero performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Who seems to have recovered his senses.

Zero is looking for a kimura but Who is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zero to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Who looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Zero has picked Who up and slammed him! Who can't keep hold of the triangle and Zero manages to pass to side control!

That's time! Zero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Zero just misses with a punch to the body.

and Zero counters with a big head kick but Who shrugs it off.
Zero lands a nice looking body kick.
Zero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Who.

Who shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Zero pinned against the cage. Zero gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Zero misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zero looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Zero makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Abel Zero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Who.

and Zero counters with a nice body kick.
Zero connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Zero thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Who if he has to take too many more of those.
Zero throws a sloppy head kick and Who moves out of range easily.
Who swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Abel Zero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good leg kick by Zero there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Who throws a lazy body kick
and Zero counters with a big head kick but Who shrugs it off.
Zero looks to throw the jab but Who is out of range.
Who checks a low kick from Zero.
Who scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zero stuffs the takedown attempt from Who. Who gets slowly back to his feet.
Who fails with the takedown
and Zero counters with a body kick.
Who shoots in for a double leg but Zero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Who avoids the head kick by Zero.

and Zero counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Who shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Zero counters with a body kick that stops Who in his tracks momentarily.

Jay Who is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Who misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Zero counters with a nice uppercut.
A clash of legs there as Who blocks the low kick.
Zero lands a body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Zero counters by moving into the clinch.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Zero fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Who.

and Zero finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Zero counters with a one-two to the body.
Who keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zero.
Nice body kick there by Zero.
Who has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Zero.
Zero throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Who takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Who avoids the head kick by Zero.

Zero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Who changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zero looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Zero tries to escape but Who is in control.
Who tries to move to mount but Zero blocks the move with his legs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Who thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Zero stops Who from passing to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Who seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Who working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Zero regains half guard, as Who was trying to land strikes.
Who is looking for a kimura here.
Zero tries to get to full guard but Who has control of the leg.
Jay Who has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Who trying to pass the guard but Zero defending well.
Zero preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zero has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Who is working away from the top position though.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Abel Zero.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
