Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Sucre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jovan Pavlovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sucre might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sobota-tanczy. Jovan Pavlovic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fernando Sucre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jovan Pavlovic!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sucre moves to clinch but Pavlovic breaks away

and Pavlovic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sucre's guard.
Pavlovic stays in close to Sucre's body and controls the position.
Pavlovic passes into half guard.
Pavlovic content to control rather than advance.
Pavlovic stops Sucre from getting back to his feet.

Pavlovic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sucre is just riding it out for now. Pavlovic eventually gives up the hold.
Sucre is trying to escape back to his feet but Pavlovic uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Pavlovic has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Pavlovic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sucre's guard now.
Sucre is looking to stand up but Pavlovic isn't so interested in that idea.

Pavlovic trying to control the position from guard on top but Sucre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sucre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pavlovic on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jovan Pavlovic was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pavlovic throws a head kick but Sucre moves out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sucre pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sucre just misses with a elbow thrown towards Pavlovic's brow.
Pavlovic doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sucre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sucre rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pavlovic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sucre fails to land with a series of punches.
Sucre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pavlovic circles away quickly and effectively.
A combination from Sucre does no damage.
Sucre throws a nice looking combination but Pavlovic bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sucre fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pavlovic checks it well.

Fernando Sucre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jovan Pavlovic hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Pavlovic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sucre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sucre looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pavlovic shoots in for a takedown but Sucre shows good takedown defense.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fernando Sucre will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sucre utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

We're going to have a standup here because Fernando Sucre wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sucre tries to clinch but Pavlovic is having none of it.
Fernando Sucre is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sucre fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pavlovic, pushing him back against the cage.

Pavlovic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sucre walks away with a smile on his face. Pavlovic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The referee is keeping an eye on Sucre - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Sucre has hold of one of Pavlovic's legs. Pavlovic is fighting the takedown attempt but Sucre gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Pavlovic has his foot on Sucre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sucre works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fernando Sucre.
I think Sucre has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
