Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mathieu Saunier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daisuke Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daisuke Kimura looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Saunier connects with a high kick.
Saunier looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Saunier closes the distance and clinches.
Saunier lands an elbow inside that Kimura shrugs off.

It looks like Daisuke Kimura has been cut.

Saunier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kimura shoots for a double leg takedown but Saunier sprawls well. He's pushed Kimura's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Saunier fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Saunier fails with an attempt to clinch.
Saunier shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kimura counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saunier's guard now.
Saunier knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kimura on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kimura stops Saunier from standing up.
Kimura wants to pass the guard but Saunier is keeping the position.
Saunier wants to stand but Kimura is controlling the position.

Saunier is breathing heavily.
Kimura trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Saunier is looking to clinch.
Kimura gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Saunier counters with a one-two to the body.
Kimura misses with a takedown attempt
and Saunier counters with a straight right hand.
Mathieu Saunier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daisuke Kimura.

and Saunier counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Saunier stands up and waves to Kimura to follow him.

and Saunier counters with a three punch combo that has Kimura backing up. Kimura nods at Saunier to acknowledge the strikes.

Saunier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saunier seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Saunier tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kimura controls his leg.
Saunier not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Saunier wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kimura is rocked!
Saunier lands with a big right hook that stumbles Kimura - he's out on his feet here! Saunier follows up with another monster hook that separates Kimura from consciousness! Kimura falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Saunier stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
