The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson throws the left hand but Knuckles avoids the punch easily.

and Gibson counters with a single leg into guard. Knuckles didn't expect that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gibson wants to control for a moment but Knuckles uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Knuckles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gibson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
