The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud stalks Taylor and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Taylor's face. Taylor staggers backwards, shaken.
Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stroud circles away.
Taylor shoots in for a double leg but Stroud sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stroud scores with a one two! Taylor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Stroud gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Taylor pulls guard successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stroud trying to stand up but can't free himself from Taylor's guard.

Taylor is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Stroud works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Taylor jumps into guard, dragging Stroud to the mat.

Stroud stays in close to Taylor's body and controls the position.

Taylor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stroud comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Stroud throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stroud is in Taylor's guard.

Stroud lands with an overhand left.

A bone on bone clash there as Taylor blocks the leg kick.
Stroud lands a nice shot that snaps Taylor's head back.
Taylor takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Taylor is rocked!
Taylor has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Stroud.
Stroud rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Taylor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taylor is still on wobbly legs! Can Stroud finish him?
BOOM! Stroud lands a beautiful left hook that drops Taylor. Taylor tries to recover but Stroud is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Taylor lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
