And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Taewoo Kim!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim misses the shot to the body.
Kim dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kim lands a right hook to the body.
Kim lands a jab to Anders's midsection.
Kim misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kim connects with a body shot.
Kim keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kim thows a body shot but no joy.
Kim digs a good hook to Anders's body.
That kick from Kim tenderised Anders's leg. Anders is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kim is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Anders rather than just go for the knockout.
Anders takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim scores with a sloppy right hand. Anders should have avoided that one.

Kim gets a clinch.

Kim pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anders takes one to the chin there.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Kim.
Kim goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Anders is breathing heavily.
A shot to the liver by Kim. Beautiful body shot.
Anders moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Kim has managed to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kim controlling the action here for a moment.

Kim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim lands a jab to Anders's midsection.
Anders shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kim lands a nice shot to the body.
Kim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kim digs a good body shot into Anders's ribs.
Kim fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Anders walks into a left hand.
Anders with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kim to score with a decent uppercut.
Taewoo Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anders takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Anders closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kim scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kim darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kim comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kim moves into the clinch.

Kim escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kim lands a right hook to the body.
Kim lands a slapping body shot.

Kim clinches.

Kim breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kim connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kim scores with a decent looking hook.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Anders takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kim scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Anders doesn't seem bothered though.

Kim is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Anders had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Kim connects with a body shot that sends Anders's belly button to the back.

Kim digs a good hook to Anders's body.
Kim lands a nice leg kick that just misses Anders's sensitive parts.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kim has closed the distance and engaged Anders in a clinch.

Kim's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kim lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Anders backs up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taewoo Kim dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kim thumps Anders with a low kick.
Kim misses with a two punch combination.
Kim lands a jab to Anders's midsection.
Kim fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Anders takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kim.
Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Kim rushes Anders and presses him up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kim - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kim has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kim pushes Anders up against the cage in a clinch.

Kim pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Anders could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kim scores with a jab to the head.
Kim stuns Anders with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Anders takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nice uppercut there from Kim.
Kim scores with a body shot.
Anders takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kim fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Anders.
Kim lands an overhand right.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim tests Anders's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Anders is rocked!
Kim scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Anders finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Kim's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Anders falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Taewoo Kim!
