Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Barreta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas shoots in and drives through. Barreta sprawls well.
Douglas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Douglas shoots in for a takedown but Barreta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Douglas has his foot on Barreta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barreta works his way back into a safe position though.
Barreta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Douglas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
