PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reino Mäyhä (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grundy rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mäyhä moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Grundy jabs Mäyhä to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Mäyhä misses with a hook
and Grundy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Mäyhä throws a lazy right hand but Grundy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mäyhä takes one to the chin there.
Grundy lands a nice shot that snaps Mäyhä's head back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mäyhä throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grundy's waist but Grundy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mäyhä off to one side.
Grundy thuds a left hand into Mäyhä's body.
Mäyhä misses with a lunging right hand
and Grundy counters with a nice uppercut.
Grundy stuffs the takedown attempt from Mäyhä. Mäyhä gets slowly back to his feet.
Mäyhä's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Grundy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mäyhä scrambles back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grundy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mäyhä stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mäyhä is breathing heavily.
Grundy grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Mäyhä takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Grundy cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
