Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jun Kawasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gorden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawasaki kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Linkin Park - Bleed It Out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Gorden!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawasaki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kawasaki swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gorden blocks a head kick by Kawasaki.
Kawasaki looks to land a body kick but Gorden moved away.
Gorden shoots in but Kawasaki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gorden shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kawasaki as he avoids it easily.
Gorden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jun Kawasaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Gorden.
Gorden moves out of range of the leg kick from Kawasaki.
Gorden misses with a lunging right hand
and Kawasaki counters with a leg kick.
Kawasaki shoots in and drives through. Gorden sprawls well.

Gorden gets a double leg takedown into Kawasaki's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gorden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kawasaki wants to sweep but no luck.

Kawasaki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gorden is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Kawasaki!

Gorden controlling the pace for now.
Kawasaki is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gorden is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kawasaki is just riding it out for now. Gorden eventually gives up the hold.
Gorden is looking to take a break and control but Kawasaki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gorden passes into side control, despite Kawasaki's attempt to control the position.
Kawasaki is looking for a sweep.
Kawasaki manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Gorden is looking to control Kawasaki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gorden avoid being mounted?
Gorden makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gorden.
Kawasaki postures up.

Gorden looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kawasaki is defending well. Gorden quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kawasaki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gorden celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
