The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waits cracks the inside of Ruthless's front leg.
Ruthless misses with a few strikes there.
Waits misses with a body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Waits.
Ruthless throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ruthless moves in looking to clinch but Waits pushes him off.
Ruthless tries to close the distance and clinch up but Waits swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Waits throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ruthlesss head.

Waits fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ruthless looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Waits rushes Ruthless and presses him up against the cage.
Ruthless drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Waits gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ruthless jumps guard but Waits stands there with Ruthless around his waist. Ruthless gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ruthless takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rio Ruthless's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
