Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Aaron Lowe has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Khan!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowe swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Khan counters with a nice body shot.
Lowe lands a jab to Khan's midsection.
Lowe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Khan counters with a shoot takedown. Lowe fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Khan advances position into side control!
Lowe is looking for a sweep.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Khan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lowe to his feet.

Khan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lowe has managed to escape the submission attempt.

It looks like Khan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Khan cracks Lowe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Khan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Khan dominated that round.
That's time! Lowe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Khan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lowe tries to clinch but Khan is having none of it.

and Khan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lowe!

Lowe is bucking up trying to escape but Khan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The referee warns Lowe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Khan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Khan leaves Lowe with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Khan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lowe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.

Khan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lowe on his heels. He'll look to pass Lowe's guard now, I'm sure.

Khan has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Khan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lowe's guard.
Khan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Khan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lowe's face.

Khan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Khan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

It looks like Aaron Lowe has been cut.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Khan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Lowe regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Khan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Khan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Aaron Lowe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Khan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

John Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
