The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels moves into the clinch successfully.

Daniels has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Holmes uses from the top position.
Daniels wants to stand but Holmes is controlling the position.
Daniels wants to sweep here but Holmes controlling him for the moment.
Holmes advances to half guard.
Daniels is not content to let Holmes control the position.
Daniels is trying to maintain the position but Holmes is very close to passing his half guard.
Holmes is keen to just control but Daniels is a slippery customer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Holmes seems keen to control Daniels's posture.

Let's hope that Holmes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Daniels pushes down on Holmes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Holmes is looking to get back to full guard here but Daniels has managed to pass to side control instead.

and Holmes counters with a three punch combo that has Daniels backing up. Daniels nods at Holmes to acknowledge the strikes.
Holmes tries to clinch but Daniels is having none of it.

and Daniels counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice sprawl there from Daniels as Holmes shoots in.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Holmes. Daniels shrugs it off though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Daniels. Holmes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Holmes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Daniels manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Daniels takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Daniels swats away the attempt to clinch by Holmes.
Rob Holmes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Rob Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Holmes has Daniels up against the cage in a clinch.
Holmes tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Daniels smiles and moves away.
Dennins Daniels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Holmes.

Daniels closes the distance and clinches.
Holmes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Daniels walks away with a smile on his face. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Holmes drags the fight down to the ground.
Daniels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dennins Daniels overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

and Holmes counters with a thumping low kick.

Daniels swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Holmes manages to break the clinch.

Daniels forces Holmes back against the cage and clinches.

Daniels is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Holmes has a couple of punches blocked by Daniels.
Daniels is pressed up against the cage. Holmes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Daniels down to the mat. Daniels avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Holmes is breathing heavily.
Daniels misses with a wild body shot.
Holmes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daniels swivels and escapes.
Holmes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Daniels wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Holmes has him pressed against the cage.
Holmes prevents Daniels from breaking the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Holmes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Daniels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Holmes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Daniels decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Daniels escapes and gets back to his feet.

and Daniels counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Daniels shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Daniels showed some decent athleticism there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Daniels lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Holmes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Daniels swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rob Holmes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dennins Daniels is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Holmes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daniels.

Dennins Daniels showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Daniels has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
