Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Robillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robillard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mackenzie.

Mackenzie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mackenzie showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mackenzie trying to control from Robillard's half guard. Robillard has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Mackenzie distracts Robillard with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Mackenzie is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mackenzie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mackenzie keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Robillard's head.

Robillard is rocked!

It looks like Dominic Robillard has been cut.
Mackenzie postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Robillard covers up, he's hurt! Mackenzie keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Mackenzie and the ref steps in to end the fight! Mackenzie can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

A very excited looking Nathan Mackenzie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
