Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wayne Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Connor Young!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Connor Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Young scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lucas turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lucas throws a sloppy head kick and Young moves out of range easily.
Lucas slips a jab and a cross from Young.

Young drops Lucas with a beautiful combination! Lucas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Young is looking for the KO!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lucas circles away quickly and effectively.

and Lucas counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lucas advances position into side control!
Young is not content to let Lucas control the position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lucas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lucas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lucas is trying to get an arm triangle but Young is defending well.

Young wants to control but Lucas postures up.
Young takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Lucas postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Young is not content to let Lucas control the position.
Young is trying to control Lucas's posture but Lucas avoids it.
Young is looking to reverse the position.

Lucas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Young is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Young takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Young tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Young gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Lucas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lucas scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Young bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Young passes into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lucas wants to improve his position but Young is controlling well.
Lucas is trying to maintain the position but Young is very close to passing his half guard.
Lucas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lucas tries to get out of the position.
Lucas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lucas.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lucas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lucas is on top in guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wayne Lucas dominated that round.
That's time! Lucas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Young displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lucas.
Young throws a nice looking combination but Lucas bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lucas shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Lucas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Young tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A left and a right from Young both land. Nice combination.
Lucas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Young leaves Lucas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wayne Lucas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Young fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucas shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Lucas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lucas shoots in but no luck this time.
Young looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Young backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Lucas's temple! It sends Lucas violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Young celebrates and the doctors try to help Lucas!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Connor Young!
