Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafeal Heimlech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafeal Heimlech looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rafeal Heimlech!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimlech with a poor takedown

and Liddell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Liddell looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Liddell postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Heimlech to stand up.
Heimlech shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Liddell pinned against the cage. Liddell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Liddell fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Liddell tries to clinch up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Liddell.
Liddell throws a strike aimed at the side of Heimlech's head but Heimlech avoids it well.

Liddell decides to stand back up.
Heimlech looks winded!
Liddell throws a leg kick but Heimlech checks it.
Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liddell throws a head kick that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heimlech tries to score a power double leg takedown but Liddell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Heimlech somewhat.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafeal Heimlech.

Liddell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Heimlech tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Liddell is in Heimlech's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Heimlech keeping moving, preventing Liddell from controlling successfully.
Heimlech should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Liddell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Liddell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heimlech can do anything to dispel that myth.
Liddell wants to control from the top but Heimlech keeps moving.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Heimlech can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Liddell controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Chuck Liddell just wasn't active enough.

Liddell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Liddell trying to control the position from guard on top but Heimlech is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Liddell decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Heimlech, up you get!

Liddell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Heimlech to the mat! Heimlech manages to get full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Liddell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Heimlech keeping moving, preventing Liddell from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Liddell drops back looking for a leg! Heimlech is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Heimlech manages to kick Liddell off! Liddell jumps back into Heimlech's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Liddell dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Heimlech gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Liddell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Liddell wants to control from the top but Heimlech keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chuck Liddell.
Heimlech closes this distance looking for a takedown but Liddell circles away.
Heimlech is breathing heavily.

Liddell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Heimlech!
Heimlech in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Liddell with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Liddell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Heimlech is looking to escape.

Liddell controlling from the full mount.
Liddell fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Liddell landing strikes, looking to finish!
Liddell content just to control the position here.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Liddell controlling the pace for now.

Liddell is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Heimlech can do to turn this around?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Liddell dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Liddell forces Heimlech back against the cage and clinches.

Liddell gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Liddell sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Liddell dives in and scores a takedown into Heimlech's guard.
Heimlech takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Heimlech looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Liddell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Chuck Liddell just wasn't active enough.
Heimlech shoots in but no luck this time.

Heimlech moves into the clinch.

Liddell jumps guard.

Liddell scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Liddell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Heimlech is trying to defend but Liddell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Liddell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Liddell decides to return to a standing position.

Liddell gets the takedown into side control.
Liddell in side control, just content to control the action for now.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Liddell is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Heimlech is trying to escape and Liddell transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Heimlech is forced to tap! Nice work there by Liddell! Very nice indeed!
