Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You are just a JOKE! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kid Vera will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Ngo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kid Vera!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ngo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vera sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ngo somewhat.
Vera throws a lazy uppercut

and Ngo counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vera!
Ngo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Vera because Ngo loaded up on that one.

Ngo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vera is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vera and Ngo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ngo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vera has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ngo but great work by Vera.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ngo tries to bench press Vera off him but Vera keeps the position.

Ngo is trying to control Vera's posture but Vera avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ngo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ngo is trying to get back to full guard.
Vera is looking to take a break and control but Ngo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vera looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kid Vera.
Vera lands a head kick. Ngo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Henry Ngo has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ngo moves forwards but Vera connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Henry Ngo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ngo closes the distance and clinches up with Vera, looking for a takedown. Ngo pushes Vera against the cage but Vera circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Ngo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ngo tries to pull guard but Vera forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ngo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Vera prevents the takedown attempt.
Vera looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vera is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ngo is defending well for now.

Ngo is trying to trip Vera. He has hold of a leg but Vera is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ngo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Ngo wants to control from the top but Vera keeps moving.
Ngo is really struggling to control Vera but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Henry Ngo just wasn't active enough.
Vera stuffs the takedown.
Ngo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vera is fending him off so far but Ngo persists. Nope, Vera circles away and we're back to standing.
Ngo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vera swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ngo rushes Vera and presses him up against the cage.
Ngo tries for a takedown. No joy.

Vera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vera throws a right and a left that both miss.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ngo is defended easily by Vera.
Vera lands a head kick. Ngo smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Vera! This one is all over!
