Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gardner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giant Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wang sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gardner somewhat.

Wang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wang wants to stand but Gardner has his arm trapped.
Gardner is looking to reverse the position.

Wang is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gardner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Gardner.
Wang wants to clinch up but Gardner keeps it at a distance.

Wang tries to lock up and control but Gardner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wang sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Wang wants to get back to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wang can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gardner prevents Wang from standing back up.
Wang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wang tries to kick Gardner off but Gardner keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wang wants to sweep but Gardner has passed to side control!

Gardner scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Gardner wants to control from the top but Wang keeps moving.
Wang wants to stand and escape but Gardner is having none of it.

Wang has his foot on Gardner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gardner works his way back into a safe position though.

Gardner wants to free his trapped foot but Wang is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wang is looking for a sweep. Gardner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gardner is looking to advance position but Wang won't allow it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Wang has Gardner up against the cage in a clinch.
Wang is trying to break the clinch but Gardner is controlling him.
Gardner has Wang pressed against the cage, preventing Wang from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gardner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wang smiles and moves away.
Gardner shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wang as he avoids it easily.

Wang misses with a double jab.
Wang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gardner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wang somewhat.

Gardner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wang's guard.

Gardner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Wang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gardner defends well.
Gardner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gardner won't allow Wang to sweep him here.

Wang is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Wang is pulling down on Gardner's head to control his posture.
Wang manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gardner manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Giant Wang will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Gardner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Wang throws out a leg kick but Gardner moves out of range and Wang only half commits.
Gardner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gardner avoids a punch combination nicely.

Chris Gardner has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Gardner is looking to clinch.
Gardner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Gardner is looking to reverse the position.
Wang has knee on belly momentarily but Gardner bucks him off and regains half guard.

Giant Wang has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gardner can't escape the position.
Wang lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gardner is bucking up trying to escape but Wang cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Gardner wants to hold on but Wang pushes him away.
Wang cracks Gardner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Wang is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Gardner slips a jab and a cross from Wang.
Gardner lands a right hook to the body.

Wang moves into range and clinches up with Gardner.

Gardner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gardner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wang sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Gardner. No joy for Wang on that attempt.
Wang misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gardner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wang back to the cage. Gardner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wang continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

Giant Wang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Wang is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gardner is defending well.
