Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Saddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haral Dir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saddi's entrance music is Duran Duran - The Wild Boys. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Saddi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Haral Dir!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saddi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dir was well out of range. Poor timing from Saddi.
Dir on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dir gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Saddi pushes Dir up against the cage in a clinch.
Dir blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Saddi lands a nice knee to the body.
Saddi lands with a short shot to the head.


It looks like Haral Dir has been cut.
Saddi misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Dir.
Saddi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Saddi tries to stall but Dir uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Saddi. Dir shrugs it off though.
Dir gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Saddi finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Haral Dir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dir has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Saddi finds it's way round the side to connect with Dir's head.

Dir takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Saddi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
