Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Butch Ferran!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferran changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Riordan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ferran lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Ferran tries for a kimura but Riordan is defending well.
Riordan can't do much from the bottom here.
Riordan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ferran connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Riordan some visible discomfort.
Ferran grinds an elbow into Riordan's temple.

Ferran has hold of Riordan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Riordan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ferran cranks the arm and Riordan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Riordan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
