Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musashimaru Koyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bateman comes to the cage accompanied by Huey Lewis and The News - Hip to be Square. Koyo has chosen "Tengoku Kara Kaminari" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole as his entrance music. Musashimaru Koyo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Patrick Bateman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Musashimaru Koyo!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman connects with a leg kick. Koyo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Bateman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Koyo's hands.
Bateman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Koyo throws a body kick that misses.
Bateman stuffs the takedown.
Bateman checks a leg kick.
Bateman throws a good cross that connects.
Koyo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bateman moves away from the strike by Koyo.

Koyo lands a big head kick that sends Bateman tumbling to the mat! Koyo takes a step backwards and waves Bateman back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Patrick Bateman has been cut.
Koyo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Koyo throws a head kick but Bateman moves out of range.
Bateman looks to score with a jab to the body but Koyo is just out of range.
Bateman walks into a left hand.
Koyo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Bateman gets caught napping as Koyo dives in and scores a takedown. Bateman manages to retain guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Koyo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bateman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koyo has managed to get both his arms back between Bateman's legs - danger averted.
Koyo wants to control from the top but Bateman keeps moving.
Koyo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bateman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bateman is pulling down on Koyo's head to control his posture.
Koyo scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bateman is trying to control the position but Koyo postures up.
Bateman pulls Koyo in close to his closed guard and prevents Koyo from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Patrick Bateman.
Koyo dives in and grabs Bateman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bateman pushes down on Koyo's head and hops out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
