Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Flako Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cees Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Pull Me Under - Dream Theater blaring out of the sound system. Overeem has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing.
Gracie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gracie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Overeem in his tracks.
Overeem misses with a series of wild punches.
Overeem misses with an uppercut.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Overeem saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Overeem misses with the combination.
Overeem moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Overeem scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Overeem misses with a double jab.
Gracie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Overeem.

Gracie pushes Overeem up against the cage in a clinch.

Overeem gets underhooks to prevent Gracie's takedown attempt.

Overeem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Overeem lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Overeem thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Flako Gracie has been cut.
Gracie connects with a nice looking jab.

Gracie jabs Overeem to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Overeem connects with a right hand. Gracie shakes it off.

Gracie is rocked!
Overeem throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.
Overeem throws a shot from downtown. Gracie moves away and avoids it.
Gracie walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Overeem checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Gracie pivots, looking for a leg kick but Overeem is out of range and Gracie settles back down.
Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Overeem.
Overeem misses with a shot to the body

and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Overeem won't be happy with that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gracie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Overeem some visible discomfort.
Gracie landing a few strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie prevents Overeem from escaping the position.
Overeem really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie has hold of Overeem's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Overeem seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Overeem is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Overeem is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
