These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokkalis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kokkalis here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kokkalis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gracie stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kokkalis throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kokkalis is in Gracie's guard.
