The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Edwards but Edwards pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ilie fails with the takedown.

Ilie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Edwards sprawls well initially but Ilie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Edwards trying to hold on to Ilie's head to control him but Ilie postures up.
Ilie wants to take a breather but Edwards is having none of it.
Edwards regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ilie.
Ilie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dragos Ilie hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ilie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Edwards throws a head kick that misses
and Ilie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ilie is defended easily by Edwards.
Ilie blocks the body kick.

Edwards attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Horrible takedown by Ilie or perhaps it was just good defense by Edwards which made him look bad.

Edwards does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Edwards cracks Ilie with an open hand slap.

Edwards walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ilie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Edwards goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ilie blocks a head kick by Edwards.
Ilie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Edwards.
