Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos's entrance music is The Choosen One by Forever in Terror. A fine choice. Pablo Santos could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ted Grant's chin.

Santos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grant tries to avoid it but Santos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grant to the ground. Grant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Santos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Grant is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Grant and Santos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Santos tries to score with some ground and pound. Grant controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Grant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Santos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grant has managed to get both his arms back between Santos's legs - danger averted.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Grant rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Santos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ted Grant seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grant, as that shot connected.

Grant clinches up with Santos and pushes him back against the cage.
Grant has a couple of punches blocked by Santos.
Santos is trying to break the clinch but Grant is controlling him.
Santos drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Santos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grant pulls his leg out and moves away.
Grant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Santos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Grant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Grant.
Santos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Santos feints and as Grant raises his hands in defense, Santos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Santos looking to sit in guard and control but Grant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Santos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Grant is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Santos.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grant has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Santos's body.

Santos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Grant is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Grant tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Santos scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
