Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Lockwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Lockwood!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lockwood throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fisher takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lockwood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lockwood lands with a cross.
Fisher just misses with a punch to the body.
Lockwood scores with a head kick.
Lockwood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lockwood connects with the punch.

Fisher closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Lockwood.
Fisher is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Fisher lands an elbow just above Lockwood 's eye.


It looks like Adam Lockwood has been cut.
Lockwood misses with a body punch.
Lockwood gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fisher.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fisher changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lockwood fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fisher throws a right and a left that both miss.

The fighters circling - Lockwood throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lockwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lockwood avoids the head kick by Fisher.
Fisher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lockwood as he avoids it easily.

Lockwood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fisher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Fisher showed some decent athleticism there.

Lockwood tries to get to full guard but Fisher has control of the leg.

Lockwood is refusing to be controlled, as Fisher sits in half guard.
Lockwood manages to get to full guard.
Lockwood is controlling Fisher's posture.
Fisher wants to control from the top but Lockwood keeps moving.

Lockwood pulls Fisher in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Fisher.
Lockwood circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fisher fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lockwood moves out of range of the body kick from Fisher.

Lockwood gets tackled into the cage by Fisher. Fisher maintains the clinch.

Lockwood scores with a nice hook to the head.
Fisher's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Lockwood scores with a shoulder strike.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fisher goes for a takedown attempt but Lockwood pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fisher walks into a left hand.

The crowd cheers as Lockwood lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fisher doesn't seem phased though.

Lockwood takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fisher tries to clinch up but Lockwood circles away and keeps his distance.
Lockwood ducks under a wild hook from Fisher.

Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lockwood paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Fisher clinches up with Lockwood and pushes him back against the cage.
Lockwood tries to land knees in the clinch but Fisher avoids the damage to the body.
Lockwood avoids the elbow strike from Fisher, against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lockwood gets through Fisher's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Fisher is leaning against Lockwood and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Fisher will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Adam Lockwood's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Lockwood jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fisher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lockwood but Lockwood pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lockwood swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lockwood loads up on a big right hand but Fisher slips the punch.
Lockwood slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Lockwood displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.


It looks like John Fisher has been cut.
Lockwood throws a head kick that misses.
Fisher fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lockwood misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lockwood throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Fisher's head.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown but Lockwood manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fisher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lockwood changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fisher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fisher has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lockwood finds it's way round the side to connect with Fisher's head.

and Lockwood counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fisher thinking.
Lockwood dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fisher. That did some damage!

John Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fisher scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lockwood doesn't seem bothered though.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Lockwood tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lockwood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Fisher shoots in for a takedown but Lockwood shows good takedown defense.

Donk. Lockwood catches Fisher right on the button with a cross.

Fisher is working for takedown but Lockwood is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lockwood pushes Fisher back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Lockwood struggles to land a body shot inside as Fisher controls his hands.

Fisher has Lockwood pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lockwood manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Fisher swings wildly with an uppercut but Lockwood uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fisher is looking to take this one to the mat.

Lockwood gets through Fisher's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Lockwood lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Fisher backwards.
Lockwood lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Lockwood scores with a shoulder strike.
Lockwood lands a hook that snaps the head of Fisher backwards.
Fisher goes for a takedown attempt but Lockwood pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A jab from Lockwood does it's job there.
Lockwood lands a head kick. Fisher smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


Fisher is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fisher ducks right into an uppercut from Lockwood.
Oh Fisher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lockwood lands a nice leg kick that just misses Fisher's sensitive parts.
Lockwood steps in with a hook that catches Fisher right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Lockwood follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Fisher looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Lockwood!
A relieved looking Adam Lockwood thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
