Raein comes to the cage accompanied by Thick As Blood. Jorge Alves struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves moves in looking to clinch but Raein pushes him off.

Alves moves into the clinch.
Alves pushes Raein back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The referee calls for Alves to work.
Raein on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Alves misses with a knee strike.
Raein has had enough of the clinch but Alves keeps him there for the moment.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Raein.
Alves using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Raein has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Raein prevents Alves from breaking the clinch.

Raein is trying to trip Alves. He has hold of a leg but Alves is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Raein persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Alves looking for a guillotine here but Raein defends easily.

Alves is looking for a triangle but Raein pushes his legs off easily.
Raein really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Raein is breathing heavily.
Alves looking to hit a scissor sweep but Raein is one step ahead there.
Raein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Raein trying to control but Alves is working from the bottom.

Alves working for a triangle but Raein defends it easily.
Raein pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alves is keeping the position for now.

Alves looking for a guillotine here but Raein defends easily.
Alves keeping moving, preventing Raein from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alves had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Raein is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alves Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Raein's back instead.
Raein just trying to survive but Alves is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Alves is working for a rear naked choke. Raein is not defending it well and Alves has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Raein refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Raein's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
