Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Djanki Manki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hacksaw Henry!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry tries to clinch up
letting Manki counter with a right hand.
Henry wants to clinch.
Nice defenses there by Henry.
Manki cracks Henry with an open hand slap.
Manki fails to land with a series of punches.
Henry fails in his attempt to clinch.
Henry tries to bum rush Manki with a series of wild strikes but Manki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A jab from Manki does it's job there.
Manki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Manki misses with a wild body shot.
Henry looks to land a combination but Manki avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henry avoids the body shot from Manki.
Manki lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Manki tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Henry tries to land a front kick but Manki steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Manki scores with a jab to the head.
Manki looks to land a left hand but Henry moved out of range nicely.
Henry throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Henry wants to clinch but Manki slips to the side
and Henry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Henry drives through and clinches with Manki against the ropes.
Henry throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Henry throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Henry jumps guard but Manki turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing.
Henry working aggressively here.

Henry has picked Manki up - he's going for a ride! Henry dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Manki avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Henry.
Manki is trying to escape back to his feet but Henry uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Henry tries for a kimura but Manki is defending well.
Manki defending against the ground and pound.

Henry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Manki is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Henry working the strikes but Manki uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Manki tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Henry manages to move to mount!
Manki is trying to get to the ropes to help him get back to his feet.
Henry raining down hammerfists from mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Henry working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Manki slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Henry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Henry throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Henry thows a huge punch but Manki dodges it nicely.
Manki is looking to escape.
Manki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Manki tries to get out of the position.
Henry lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Manki is trying to stand up here but Henry is controlling him well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Henry connects with a nice short shot to Manki's temple.
Manki looks like he's trying to stand up.
Manki blocking the ground and pound attempt from Henry.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Manki kicks Henry off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Henry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Henry lands with a good body shot.
Manki is breathing heavily.
Manki fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Henry checks it well.
Henry wants to clinch.

Henry drives through and clinches with Manki against the ropes.
Henry prevents Manki from breaking the clinch.
Henry misses with an elbow strike.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Henry throws an elbow but it misses.
Henry stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Henry just misses with a elbow thrown towards Manki's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hacksaw Henry dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Henry moves away from the strike by Manki.
Manki throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Manki, as that shot connected.
Henry wants to clinch up but Manki keeps it at a distance.
and Manki counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Henry! He's just covering up as Manki starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Djanki Manki!
During a confident post fight interview, Djanki Manki thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
