Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus J Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adhra Muombwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus J Whyte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adhra Muombwa!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muombwa throws a hook but Whyte blocks it.
Whyte tries to close the distance and clinch but Muombwa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Whyte tries to clinch but Muombwa is having none of it.
Whyte moves out of range of the strikes.
Whyte fails with a takedown attempt.

Whyte looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Muombwa!
Muombwa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Whyte is working for a guillotine from mount but Muombwa frees his head quite easily.
Whyte raining down hammerfists from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Muombwa is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Whyte trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Muombwa's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Whyte jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Muombwa is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Muombwa and Whyte has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Whyte is looking to take a break and control but Muombwa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Whyte goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Muombwa has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Whyte but great work by Muombwa.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Muombwa stands up.
Muombwa slaps away a takedown attempt from Whyte, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Whyte shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Muombwa defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus J Whyte. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Muombwa misses with a hook.
Marcus J Whyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Whyte wants to clinch
and Muombwa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Whyte closes the distance and clinches up with Muombwa, looking for a takedown. Whyte pushes Muombwa against the cage but Muombwa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Muombwa misses with an uppercut

and Whyte counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Whyte is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Whyte with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Whyte pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Muombwa is keeping the position for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Whyte with a flurry of punches that miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus J Whyte dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Whyte shoots for a double leg takedown but Muombwa sprawls well. He's pushed Whyte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Muombwa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Muombwa wants it to stay on the feet.
Muombwa dips to his left and cracks Whyte with an uppercut!
Muombwa avoids the head kick by Whyte.
Whyte moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Whyte tries to clinch there but Muombwa circles away.
Muombwa stuffs the takedown attempt from Whyte. Whyte gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus J Whyte. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Whyte shoots for a takedown but Muombwa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Muombwa lands with a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Muombwa with a jab.
Whyte fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Whyte closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The crowd cheers as Muombwa lands an impressive looking overhand right. Whyte doesn't seem phased though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Whyte looks to score with a jab to the body but Muombwa is just out of range.
Whyte moves out of range of the strikes.
Muombwa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Whyte uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Muombwa.
Whyte closes the distance but Muombwa moves to the side
enabling Muombwa to counter with a crisp jab.
Muombwa has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Whyte shoots in but Muombwa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Muombwa connects with a jab.
Muombwa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Horrible takedown by Whyte or perhaps it was just good defense by Muombwa which made him look bad.
Muombwa misses with an uppercut.
Whyte shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Muombwa as he avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Muombwa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Whyte slips a jab from Muombwa.
Muombwa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Muombwa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Muombwa lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Whyte slips under a jab.
Whyte shoots for a double leg takedown but Muombwa sprawls well. He's pushed Whyte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Adhra Muombwa seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Muombwa sends Whyte crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Muombwa is motioning to the referee to let Whyte up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Whyte is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
