Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Keane John!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ho gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Ho jumps guard.
Keane John trying to control but Ho is working from the bottom.
Ho is trying to hold Keane John in close to prevent damage but Keane John has managed to pass into half guard.
Keane John stalling.

Ho is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Keane John is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ho tries to roll over but Keane John keeps him under control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kenji Keane John wasn't active enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ho looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ho changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Keane John fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Keane John displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ho.

Keane John fails with an attempt to clinch.
Keane John throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ho counters with a big head kick but Keane John shrugs it off.
Keane John throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Keane John tries to avoid it but Ho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Keane John to the ground. Keane John escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ho gets caught flat footed, as Keane John shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Keane John trying to control the position from guard on top but Ho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Keane John throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ho works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Keane John thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ho is trying to control the position but Keane John postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Ho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

and Ho counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ho.
Keane John is trying to break the clinch but Ho has him pressed against the cage.
Ho tries to pull guard but Keane John holds him up against the cage and eventually Ho drops back down to his feet.
Keane John is looking to break free of the clinch but Ho has double underhooks.
Keane John goes for a takedown attempt but Ho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Keane John tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ho paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Keane John swats away the attempt to clinch by Ho.
Ho fails to land the takedown.

Keane John shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Keane John showed some decent athleticism there.
Ho wants to get back to his feet.
Keane John throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keane John is trying to control the action in half guard but Ho is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ho looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Ho works his way to full guard. Good work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Keane John chips away with some ground and pound.
Ho has control of Keane John's left arm, preventing Keane John from doing any damage.
Keane John controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kenji Keane John hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ho gets a clinch.

Keane John manages to break the clinch.

Keane John shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ho's guard.

Ho tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Keane John manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ho stuffs the takedown attempt from Keane John. Keane John gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Ho or perhaps it was just good defense by Keane John which made him look bad.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Ho keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Keane John's efforts to push away.

Keane John jumps into guard, dragging Ho to the mat.
Ho wants to control from the top but Keane John keeps moving.
Keane John wants to stand up but Ho is controlling him.
Ho throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Keane John drives through with a takedown into Ho's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Ho lands a couple of elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Keane John lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ho!
Ho wants to control but Keane John is having none of it.

Ho reaches up to try and control the position but Keane John seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Ho rolls and tries to escape and now Keane John has his back!
