Joaquin drops back looking for a leg! Darkov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Darkov manages to kick Joaquin off! Joaquin jumps back into Darkov's guard.

Joaquin is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Darkov is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Darkov flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Joaquin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Darkov and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Joaquin slips an arm under Darkov chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Joaquin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Joaquin is squeezing on Darkov like an anaconda would it's prey. Darkov fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rodger Joaquin!
