Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yuri Boyka!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Boyka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boyka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thompson defends it nicely.

Thompson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Boyka bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thompson's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boyka is looking to advance position but Thompson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Thompson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Boyka looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Thompson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyka is in a horrible position here. Thompson smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Thompson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Thompson prevents Boyka from getting the reversal.
Thompson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Thompson is landing with some decent strikes but Boyka is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big strike lands for Thompson! That's really hurt Boyka and he's turned his back - Thompson keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Thompson jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
