Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sho Goon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Lyoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liam Lyoto will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyoto misses with a jab, cross combination.

Goon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lyoto sprawls well. Lyoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goon gets slowly back to his feet.

Goon shoots in looking for a takedown. Lyoto tries to sprawl out of it but Goon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lyoto manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lyoto goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Goon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lyoto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lyoto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lyoto!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Goon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lyoto's waist but Lyoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goon off to one side.

Goon drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goon jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
