Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Godwin Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sugar Ray Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Myers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Long has his foot on Myers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Myers works his way back into a safe position though.

Long looks to land a combination. Myers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Myers shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Sugar Ray Myers has been cut.
Long cracks Myers with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Myers tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Long pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Myers is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
