Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between That Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ms Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy closes the distance but Lord moves to the side

Lord shoots in looking for a takedown. Guy tries to sprawl out of it but Lord keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lord escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lord throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guy's waist but Guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lord off to one side.
Lord shoots in for a takedown but Guy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Guy moves in looking to clinch but Lord pushes him off.
Lord pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lord lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Guy!

Lord unloads with some shots from mount but Guy bucks and avoids them well.
Lord has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lord is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guy shrugs it off.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lord clinches up with Guy and pushes him back against the cage.

Lord decides to pull guard.
Guy throws an elbow that misses. Lord uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Guy's guard. Nice move by Lord!
Lord seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lord sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guy's guard.
Lord perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Lord lands a nice hook to Guy's body. Guy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Well Lord has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
