Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Dimachaerus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dimachaerus has chosen Metallica - The Unforgiven as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dimachaerus closes the distance and clinches.

West's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dimachaerus connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! West scrambles back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dimachaerus is looking to improve his position but West isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
West unloads with some shots from mount but Dimachaerus bucks and avoids them well.

That was a close round but I would say that Will West will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dimachaerus is on top in guard.

Dimachaerus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Will West wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
West shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dimachaerus sprawls well. Dimachaerus wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. West gets slowly back to his feet.
Marcus Dimachaerus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dimachaerus is fighting off a takedown attempt but West is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dimachaerus to the mat. Dimachaerus regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
West looks to land a combination but Dimachaerus avoids it well.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dimachaerus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
West wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

West is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Dimachaerus has West pressed against the cage, preventing West from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
West tries to throw a body punch but Dimachaerus avoids it by throwing West back against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Will West.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for West, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
