Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jiraia Merchury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian MacKaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ian MacKaye struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jiraia Merchury could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ian MacKaye's chin.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merchury closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Merchury has picked MacKaye up - he's going for a ride! Merchury dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
MacKaye wants to get back to his feet.
MacKaye won't allow Merchury to pass to mount.
MacKaye makes his way to full guard, as Merchury worked for a kimura.
Merchury is breathing heavily.
Merchury is looking to work some ground and pound but MacKaye has wrist control.
MacKaye can't keep his opponent in guard - Merchury advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Merchury is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and MacKaye reverses the position - he's now on top in Merchury's guard.
MacKaye would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Merchury thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
