Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Mingle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danjou Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mingle kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Haruka Kanata. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jason Mingle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danjou Yamato!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mingle slaps away a takedown attempt from Yamato, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yamato wants to clinch
and Mingle counters by clinching up.
Mingle prevents Yamato from breaking the clinch.
Yamato wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mingle breaks from the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Mingle. Those never looked like landing.
Yamato shoots for a double leg takedown but Mingle sprawls well. He's pushed Yamato's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jason Mingle overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Yamato managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mingle.

Yamato pushes Mingle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mingle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mingle, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jason Mingle opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
