Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kobel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gena Krocodil!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobel throws a right and a left that Krocodil avoids nicely.
Kobel misses with an uppercut
and Krocodil counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A big left from Kobel misses.
Krocodil dodges the punch combination from Kobel.
Kobel tries for a takedown but Krocodil circles away easily

and Krocodil counters by moving into the clinch.

Krocodil manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Krocodil is on top in guard.

Kobel is breathing heavily.

Krocodil is controlling Kobel's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Kobel.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krocodil gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kobel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kobel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gena Krocodil dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kobel misses with a low kick as Krocodil jumps back.
Kobel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kobel wants it to stay on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Krocodil shoots for a takedown but Kobel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Krocodil closes the distance and clinches up with Kobel, looking for a takedown. Krocodil pushes Kobel against the cage but Kobel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Krocodil throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kobel's waist but Kobel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krocodil off to one side.
Kobel missing with a left hand there. Krocodil was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kobel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Krocodil counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ivan Kobel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Krocodil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Krocodil shoots in looking for a takedown. Kobel tries to sprawl out of it but Krocodil keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kobel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Krocodil shoots in for a double leg but Kobel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kobel is looking to stand up but Krocodil won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krocodil has his feet on Kobel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Krocodil tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kobel swivels and escapes.

and Krocodil counters with a left and a right that stings Kobel.

Krocodil shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Krocodil shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kobel sprawls well. Kobel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Krocodil gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Krocodil enables Kobel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Krocodil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krocodil is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kobel defends well.

Gena Krocodil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Krocodil jumps guard but Kobel turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Krocodil tries to pull guard but Kobel holds him up against the cage and eventually Krocodil drops back down to his feet.

Gena Krocodil seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
The referee is keeping an eye on Krocodil - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Krocodil gets control of Kobel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Krocodil will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kobel goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Krocodil rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kobel's guard! Nice work there by Krocodil!

Gena Krocodil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Krocodil has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
