The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Da Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Da Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Da Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Johnson has time to react.

Da Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Johnson moves in looking to clinch but Da Silva pushes him off.
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Da Silva saw that one coming.
An inside leg kick lands from Da Silva.

Johnson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Da Silva scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Da Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.

A frustrated look appears on Johnson's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Johnson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Da Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Da Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
Johnson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Johnson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
