Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Omicron PerseiEight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tourney Champ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think PerseiEight might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Little Things by One Direction. Omicron PerseiEight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PerseiEight displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Champ.
Champ tries a head kick but it misses.
PerseiEight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and PerseiEight wants it to stay on the feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for PerseiEight.
PerseiEight looks for the body kick but Champ saw that one coming.

Champ closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Champ shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. PerseiEight manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Champ tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Champ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tourney Champ.
PerseiEight throws a shot from downtown. Champ moves away and avoids it.
Champ shoots in looking for a takedown. PerseiEight tries to sprawl out of it but Champ keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. PerseiEight manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Champ closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming PerseiEight to the mat! PerseiEight manages to get full guard.
Champ wants to control from the top but PerseiEight keeps moving.
PerseiEight has momentary wrist control but Champ slips an elbow through the middle.

PerseiEight is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Champ.

A momentary lapse in concentration from PerseiEight enables Champ to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. PerseiEight manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
PerseiEight knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Champ on the ground.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Champ cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Champ has hold of PerseiEight's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and PerseiEight manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Omicron PerseiEight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

PerseiEight is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Champ lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can PerseiEight hold on?!
