The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao lands with an overhand left.
Brandao missing with a left hand there. Stevenson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nice takedown defense from Brandao. No joy for Stevenson on that attempt.
Stevenson tries to clinch but Brandao moves out of range.
Brandao with a jab.

It looks like Kelly Stevenson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A punch combination from Brandao misses.
Stevenson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brandao paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stevenson fails to land with a series of punches.
A slow jab from Brandao misses its intended target.
Stevenson shoots for a double leg takedown but Brandao sprawls well. He's pushed Stevenson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brandao swats away the attempt to clinch by Stevenson.
Stevenson closes the distance and clinches up with Brandao, looking for a takedown. Stevenson pushes Brandao against the cage but Brandao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Evandro Brandao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelly Stevenson.
Brandao throws a hook to the side of Stevenson's head but Stevenson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Stevenson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stevenson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Brandao wants to hold on but Stevenson pushes him away.

Brandao is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stevenson fails to move to back control.

Stevenson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Brandao turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Stevenson off and cradles Brandao's limp body as Stevenson celebrates with his corner.
