The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vachon Ii takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vachon Ii steps to the side to avoid the strikes from VandammeChuck.

Vachon Ii will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
VandammeChuck throws a hook but Vachon Ii blocks it.
VandammeChuck changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
VandammeChuck misses with a wild combination.
Vachon Ii walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
VandammeChuck scores with a sloppy right hand. Vachon Ii should have avoided that one.

VandammeChuck tries to break the clinch but Vachon Ii is controlling the position.

It looks like SyvesterSegul VandammeChuck has been cut.

Vachon Ii gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Vachon Ii prevents VandammeChuck from getting back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vachon Ii is nestled in close to VandammeChuck, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Vachon Ii looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
VandammeChuck pushes Vachon Ii off looking to stand but Vachon Ii dives back in and keeps control.
VandammeChuck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vachon Ii is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vachon Ii lands a nice short elbow.

Mad Dog Vachon Ii spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
