Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Burgess Meredith!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meredith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stevens.
Stevens lands an overhand right.
It looks like Burgess Meredith has been cut.
Stevens bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Stevens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Meredith tries to clinch up but Stevens circles away and keeps his distance.
Horrible takedown by Stevens or perhaps it was just good defense by Meredith which made him look bad.
Stevens scores with a one two! Meredith had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Stevens feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Merediths jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stevens throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Meredith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Meredith misses with a takedown attempt - Stevens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stevens slaps away a takedown attempt from Meredith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stevens Rushes Meredith and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Meredith is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Stevens Piles on the pressure and Meredith crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Stevens!
