Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fernando Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vieira missing with a left hand there. Coleman was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vieira lands with a slapping head kick.

Vieira tries to keep at a distance but Coleman has taken the fight into the clinch.

Vieira won't allow Coleman to pass to mount.

Coleman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vieira does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, if Coleman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Vieira wants to get back to his feet.

Coleman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Sean Coleman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Vieira is fighting off a takedown attempt but Coleman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Vieira to the mat. Vieira regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Vieira utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Coleman wants to pass the guard but Vieira is keeping the position.

Coleman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vieira's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieira wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Vieira wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Coleman has him pressed against the cage.

Coleman scores with a nice hook to the head.

Coleman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Coleman feints and as Vieira raises his hands in defense, Coleman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Vieira is still in real trouble! Can Coleman finish him?
Vieira wants to stand and escape but Coleman is having none of it.
Coleman throws a big right hand that misses.
Vieira seems to have recovered his senses.
Coleman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vieira is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Coleman is controlling him.

Vieira is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Coleman wants to stand but Vieira is controlling his posture from full guard.

Sean Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Vieira can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Coleman controls the pace.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Vieira is looking to clinch but Coleman is avoiding it.

Coleman drives through with a takedown into Vieira's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Coleman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Coleman lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Coleman is staying tight to Vieira's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Coleman grinds an elbow into Vieira's temple.

Coleman cracks Vieira with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Coleman immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Vieira is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Coleman!
